Jordy Smith and co. salute the great man at the dredging left that unloads a stone’s throw from his former prison cell on Robben Island.
It’s been 15 years since the first pioneering surf mission to the Island, and on Freedom Day this year, Zag went back with Jordy, Josh Redman, Ryan Payne and one of the original pioneers, Ian Armstrong, along with his son Max.
